The APHA through the support of voluntary membership dues by many residents within the neighborhood, focuses on several services that benefit the entire community:
- Private security patrols which provide added peace of mind, especially in light of recent cutbacks by county and state law enforcement resources
- Communication to our residents and members via a quarterly printed newsletter and periodic electronic updates
- Consultative review of building and renovation plans for residents contemplating remodels and needing an extra set of eyes before they approach the County Building Department. (As of Spring 2014, this service is not available. As more residents volunteer for board service and we have capacity to provide this consultation, we will reinstate this service.)
- Partnership with the Arden Park Recreation & Park District to subsidize neighborhood events such as Music in the Park and Fourth of July Festivities
The APHA was incorporated in 1977 and bylaws were updated in 1995. Below is a link to the current bylaws document which govern the APHA.
